La Sociedad Herpetológica Valenciana vuelve a coorganizar junto con Chelonia 2002 en Valencia la octava convención europea de criadores de tortugas de agua dulce (8th European Freshwater Turtle Breeders’ Convention). Para ello SOHEVA ha confeccionado una página en inglés especial para el evento, puesto que esta es la lengua en el que se desarrollará:

Tendrá lugar los días 8, 9 y 10 de mayo de 2015 en el Centre Cultural de Picanya (Plaça del País Valencià, 9 Picanya)

Los interesados en participar podrán encontrar información actualizada siempre en la página Web de la convención.

Los socios de SOHEVA tienen entrada libre los días 9 y 10. El día 8 realizaremos una excursión en barca al Tancat de la Pipa, un enclave especial del parque natural de la Albufera, en autobús y barca que tiene un coste de 40€ y es opcional.

10:30 Boat from the “Port de Catarroja” to the “Tancat de la Pipa”

11:00 Arrival to the “Tancat de la Pipa”. Visit and herping trip. This beautiful ecosystem is the home to two freshwater turtle species: Mauremys leprosa and Emys orbicularis, that we will try to spot.

13:00 Boat to the fishing village of “El Palmar”.
